It does everything I would have hoped for - including the 30-second skip on my DVR. It will learn any command from your old remote. Since it does this one at a time, it's not an easier way than puting with the codes, but still very valuable. It had the right code for everything, including my 15-year old Sony AV system through which I run all the sound, and my Comcast cable box with DVR. This is one of the best investments I have made in a long time. It controls all of my accessories, and the TV favorites feature is a must-have for someone as lazy as I am. This remote was not able to find the code for my FTA satellite box but using the "learn button" I was able to program every button just the way i wanted. I also programed favorite 10 channels which is amazing feature to have. Overall great buy well worth the money and always fun to shop with buy.com with free shipping and great customer service.
